About Program
In Sindh, millions of children struggle with foundational learning, putting them at risk of dropping out. According to recent reports, over 73% of Grade 3 students and 37% of Grade 5 students lack basic literacy and numeracy skills. The situation is even more alarming for girls, who face limited access to secondary education due to a severe shortage of schools, socio-economic barriers, and the growing impact of climate change on education. In response, the Accelerating Girls’ Education in Secondary Schools of Sindh (AGEiSSS) initiative is introducing innovative, scalable, and evidence-based solutions to improve learning levels, reduce dropouts, and empower adolescent girls with the education they deserve.
